Michael JORDAN

He is known as the best basket ball player of all time, Michael JORDAN has played for the NBA from 1984 to 2003.
He started at the University of North Carolina for which he scored the money time basket to win the NCAA championship face to Georgetown Hoyas.
Drafted in 3rd position by the Chicago Bulls in 1984, the number 23 of the Bulls has became since its beginning and very first year an exceptionnal player.
In 1986-1987 he became the only player with Wilt Chamberlain to score 3000 points in a season, and the first to achieve 200 interceptions and 100 blocks.
During his 15 seasons in the NBA, he will be sacred 6 times champions with his lieutenant Scottie Pippen ; Jordan will be elected 5 times MVP, he's attended 14 times at the All star game (3 times mvp 1988, 1996, 1998) and win 2 olympic gold medals in 1983 in LA and 1992 in Barcelona thanks to the "dream team".
These many exploits earned him the nickname "Air Jordan".
Upon his arrival in the NBA, sponsors and the magazines are digging, he became promptly one of the best-paid sportsmen in the world.
The main part of this money comes from a contract of 15 millions of dollars signed with Nike, which is under the direction of designer Tinker Hatfield created the first Air Jordan in 1984, first in a long series marked by the legendary Jordan III (1988) and Jordan IV (1989), the latest model in this series has been very symbolically the Jordan XXIII, released in 2008.
Jordan has been the basis of any modern sports marketing and the explosion of the Nike empire. And also a real brand called JORDAN. Its logo is nearly as powerfull as NIKE one.
It has imposed the cross-over of performance shoes in the streets. For the first time, a sport shoe became a sneakers one...
